Below is information about our the products we use.
Made with Alaskan Yellow Cedar
The wood we use in our sash is with CVG Alaskan Yellow Cedar which is highly resistant to decay. Alaskan Yellow Cedar logs that are known to have lain in the forest for decades and found to be sound. Even immersion in salt water does not harm the wood. This wood can also be used for boat decking and railings. This is a dense soft wood that closely resembles the color of pine so you can stain it to match your existing pine sashes. This tree grows in the mountains of Western Washington and Oregon This is why it holds up, extremely well in the Northwest weather. This means no more rotting problems or constant worry about having enough paint on your windows this wood is perfect for window parts in rainy environments.
Exterior Stops
The stops are milled to mimic the original pressed sash these stops are also made of CVG yellow cedar. They are installed on the exterior of the sash for unit replacement in case of glass breakage or unlikely seal failure. Exterior stops saves you money on refinishing the interior if glass replacement is needed so only touch up of the exterior would be necessary.
