Aluminum windows are often glazed with butyl or double backed tape. These frames drain well, however lots of dirt is left in the glazing area. This requires longer clean up, but does clean up well. The glazing bead on Aluminum windows is usually worn, and often in need of replacement. These frames can sometimes be out of square, making it difficult to install the glass and glazing bead. Aluminum is not as forgiving when installing glass into these windows; installs need to be more skill-full and meticulous.
